HP ML10 RAID SETUP and Windows Server 2008 Installation

First of all we have to enable raid controller

  • Press F9 during startup
  • From Advance Option
  • Sata Configuration
  • Embedded Sata Configuration 
  • Select RAID
  • Go Back and from Drive Write Cache make it Disabled
Create Logical Drive
  • During startup press F8
  • Create logical drive with 2 hard disk Raid 1+0 or Raid 0, save it and reboot the machine.



Download from HP raid controller driver(HP Smart Array B110i Sata RAID Controller) 
  • URL: HP Smart Array B110i
  • Select and Download Windows Server R2
  • Run the download and extract the driver to usb disk

OS Installation

  1. Insert the usb with raid driver.
  2. Now Boot with Windows Server 2008 installation disk or usb.
  3. Proceed the installation and choose custom installation to select logical drive
  4. There is no logical drive to select 
  5. Press F6 and choose from usb the HP Smart Array B110i  Driver and press next
  6. When installation of drivers complete you will see the unallocate logical drive to proceed installation
